 About NPASS....

Three Northeast Pennsylvania show barns have joined together to present the Northeast PA Show Series.  These barns are: Hidden Creek Equestrian Center, Bit By Bit Equestrian Center, and Twin Lakes Acres.  The show series will culminate in a year-end Championship Competition which will be held at Hidden Creek Equestrian Center on Saturday, October 3, 2009.  This Championship Show will not be registered with any other organization (such as ESDCTA) and therefore, scores obtained at this show will not count towards any other year-end award programs.  Qualifying scores must be earned at qualifying shows offered by the four participating barns.

Championship classes will be offered in both Dressage and Combined Training.  In order to qualify for the Championship Show in a Dressage Division, a competitor must achieve at least two qualifying scores of 60% or higher at two different qualifying show grounds and in front of two different judges.  In order to qualify for the Championship Show in a Combined Training Division, a competitor must achieve at least one qualifying score of 45% or lower at a qualifying show ground.  Qualifying Scores must be earned between April 1, 2009 and September 20, 2009.

There will be a Mounted Awards Ceremony for each Dressage and Combined Training Division.  Ceremonies will be held throughout the day as Divisions are completed.

Participants in the Dressage Divisions will ride the two tests indicated for their level.  The tests will be averaged to determine the Championship placings.  The individual classes will not be pinned, only the overall places.  The Starter Divisions will be limited to those riders who have never shown above Training Level Test 2.  For each Division, the qualifying tests will be either or both of the tests to be ridden in the Championship.  For the Second Level Division, riders may obtain qualifying scores at any Second Level tests; however, they will ride Second Level Tests 3 and 4 in the Championship Show.

Participants in the Combined Training Divisions will ride the dressage test and jumping course for their level.  The dressage test will not be pinned separately, only the combination of the dressage test plus an jumping faults will determine the Championship placings.  For each Division, the qualifying tests will be the same dressage test and jumping height which will be ridden in the Championship.

All dressage tests must be ridden from memory.  Use of a dressage whip or crop will be permitted.  Show jackets will be optional; however, proper schooling show attire (per ESDCTA rules) is required.

The entry fee for each Dressage Division for the Northeast PA Show Series will be $60.  The entry fee for each Combined Training Division will be $45.  Management reserves the right to cancel, split or combine Divisions based upon show entries.  Please indicate on your entry form whether rider is a Junior or Senior.  Only ESDCTA Entry Form will be accepted - form available at www.esdcta.org.  Current negative coggins within one year of show date must accompany entry form.  Competitor must include copies of both qualifying tests, clearly showing date of show, show grounds, judge, test and score and jumping penalties if applicable.  Incomplete entries will not be accepted.

Opening Date for Championship Show is August 23rd and the Closing Date is  Sept. 23rd.
